Welcome aboard the USS Tokyo!

With the recent escalations of violence and unrest within the Alpha and Beta Quadrants, Starfleet recognised a need for a fast ship that can be deployed as a rapid response vessel. After six years of development Starfleet Corps of Engineers started to lay down the spaceframe for four new carrier type vessels, the USS Armitage, USS Broadsword, USS Oceania and the USS Tokyo.

The Armitage Class vessels are an upgraded version of the highly successful Akira class starships. They are designed as rapid response attack carriers, capable of high speed deployment of fighters and auxiliary craft as well as specialist operations in deep space.

The USS Tokyo is the fourth vessel of the class and is currently commanded by Captain Taiga Aisaka, a young officer with a lot of potential. The Tokyo's main mission is to patrol the Federation's Neutral Zones, shipping lanes and eliminate any threats to protect the security of the Federation. From managing civilian traffic to engaging potential invasion forces the Armitage classes are built to defend the security of the Federation and this is the Tokyo's main mission.

Posted on Mon Mar 6th, 2017 @ 4:10am by Captain Taiga Aisaka in Sim Announcement

To all crew of the USS Tokyo. Now that we are back to active status and all the crew, new and exisiting are back on board its time to let you all know what we'll be doing in the next mission.

Part 1
The USS Tokyo will be dispatched to once again patrol along the Romulan Neutral Zone. We will be doing a standard patrol as usual. Once we arrive at the edge of the Neutral Zone we will launch our Starfighters to do recon missions along the border much like old carriers used to do in the Pacific Ocean. We will also be doing several tests on the ships upgrades, including the Tokyo's new engines. Also anyone who wants to do a few character development subplots can be done here. We shouldn't take too long on Part 1.

Part 2
Somewhere along the Neutral Zone border the Starfighters will find a strange anomoly forming. Fearing that the Romulans are once again 'upto something' we will move to investigate. The anomoly will seem to be some sort of fold in subspace time, and realities. We will get a little too close and get pulled into the anomoly.

Meanwhile in the Mirror Universe, the ISS Tokyo will have done the same. Both ships will then become merged in the same space time. This means that the mirror universe crew will appear on the Tokyo alongside ourselves. Could everyone please come up with a Mirror Universe counterpart of their characters.

Once the Mirror Universe counterparts appear, there will be immediate confusion and lots of fighting. We will lose control of the ship as we all start fighting with ourselves (quite literally). Therefore we will have to regroup and then find a way to take back parts of the ship. Most likely we will have to fall back to either Engineering or Starfighter Operations as they both have command consoles and abilities. We will lose the Main Bridge to the Terran Empire.

Part 3
After finally getting most of the fighting out of the way and finding our own feet. Elements of the ISS Tokyo will start to come through as if the two ships were merging. Logos will appear, rooms begin to change etc. Should have a lot of fun with science blabble when this begins to happen. The Tokyo crew then need to somehow stop allt he fighting and pursuade the crew from the ISS Tokyo to work together.

We can then formulate a plan to send the Mirror Universe Tokyo back to their universe whilst still keeping ours in the prime universe. We can either go two directions here. The crew of the ISS Tokyo can either co-operate with us and help us out, which would be easier for us. Or, if they refuse and want to take both ships back to their universe we will have to do something to force them to surrender. (Which is probably the more fun option)

Part 4
Once we somehow get both ships back to their correct universe, we will use our torpedo's and fighters weapons to close the anomoly. With the ISS Tokyo doing the same on the other side. Then continue onto the next mission.

Hopefully this should turn out really good. Of course this is just a brief outling of what I would like to see. Things can change as you write along. I let you all as writers and the crew develop the story. This is just a possible outcome. But with a lot of good writing we should be able to formulate a fantastic story.

Thankyou for keeping the Tokyo Alive! Now lets get back to writing fantastic posts and writing our unique characters.

Peace out.

» USS Tokyo Reactivation!

Posted on Fri Feb 3rd, 2017 @ 5:00am by Captain Taiga Aisaka in Out of Character

To all crew of the USS Tokyo!

It has been a year since I decided to put the Tokyo into Hiatus. This was because a year ago there was a lot going on in my personal life and I was finding it difficult to manage the ship. Also the fleet that the Tokyo belonged to was putting extra pressure on me to get things done.

However a lot has happened in a year. I am in a much better place now. By moving out into my own house, out of my parents house, getting a better job and starting my study for my teaching degree. This has all led to being a better environment to write.

I also understand that several of you also had real life issues going on. I didn't want to lose the fantastic stories we were writing, or our history or characters. Therefore I chose to put the Tokyo into Hiatus, rather than shutting her down, with intentions to bring her back when the time was right.

I believe that now is the right time.

I will be going through all the saved mission posts that have been sitting there for the last year. Anyones which are not needed, or can be finished I will endeavour to delete, or finish them. Then at least we can finish where we left off.

I am also giving you all the opportunity to return to the Tokyo. You can change characters and positions should you wish. The only rule is that there is no one in the spot you are transfering to. The changes will be made on February 17th, 2 weeks from this announcement.

Until then, please login or contact me to let me know you are staying on the Tokyo. If you do not wish to stay on the Tokyo, then please let me know. I will nto be offended if you wish to leave or want a fresh start. People who have not responded to me by the 17th of February will be removed from the sim, as I will presume you will not wanting to be staying.

Thankyou for being patient, and now its time for the USS Tokyo to come back to life and start writing the great stories I know we're capable of.

The new address will be the following:

Please update your bookmarks. The Tokyo site will still be available at sims-r.us for a short while as both sites are using the same database, however sims-r.us will be taken down shortly, so please start to use the new site.

» First Battle Plan

Posted on Mon Aug 31st, 2015 @ 11:27pm by Captain Taiga Aisaka in Sim Announcement

To all crew!

The Borg are on the ship! I repeat the Borg are officially aboard the USS Tokyo!

Therefore this is a battleplan how the assimilation of the Tokyo will happen and where the Borg will advance first. It should be noted that Commander Daxer has been assimilated and is leading the Borg against her will. All phaser shots to her will be ineffective and the Borg will be adapting quickly.

The Borg are going to start by assimilating Engineering and the surrounding areas on Deck 14. Once they have deck 14 under their control they will begin to go down decks to the lower areas of the ship.

Decks 15 through 17 are our Fighter Operations, Fighter Storage and Launch Bays. Several NPC Fighter pilots will become assimilated trying to fight the Borg off these decks. The Borg will then proceed to use these pilots and launch our own fighters to try and shoot down our fighter patrols. This means that our fighter pilots and Squadron leader out in space will be up against their friends, assimilated in partially assimilated fighters.

After taking the lower decks and all of our Fighter Operations they will start to head up towards the bridge. We'll need everyones help and participation to try and force the Borg off the Tokyo. With Commander Daxer's command codes its going to be very hard to repel them. If you've ever seen Star Trek First Contact, thats the style we will be going for.

Check out the Tokyo's deck listings to see which deck your characters is going to be on and which areas major battles will be held: http://tokyo.sims-r.us/index.php/sim/decks

Good luck crew! Its about to get brutal!
